For Lovers of Adventure and Food

The Winter Olympics made Salt Lake City a prime travel destination in 2002. Although the athletes have departed, the revitalization that was done in preparation for the Games is still very much a part of the area, making a visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The city has many things to offer. One of them is a beer lover's paradise, The Bayou which is home to 240 different kinds of beer from all over the world, with about 30 on tap. They also serve excellent creole food and feature live music most nights. Rent a car from a car rental to visit the place. The Bayou offers great southern-style cooking and a very large array of beers. You can enjoy the sweet potato fries along with a cajun meal. The location is simple as well as the interior so don't miss out on an easy off-the-beaten-track good eats. Apart from this you can drive around and explore the many tourist attractions. I would suggest you to head across State Street and into the City & County Building, a 19th-century Romanesque brownstone with magnificent archways, turrets, gargoyles, and statues, and a cupola crowned by an effigy of the goddess Columbia. It had nearly been torn down in the sixties but was saved, and in the eighties it became the first building in the country to be retrofitted with base isolators to prevent it from being damaged by earthquakes.

Not just this there are various other places with stories to tell. It is also the headquarters for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is home to many Latter-day-saints related sites, the most popular being Temple Square. With its architectural richness the Salt lake city main library even received Institute Honor Award for Architecture by the American Institute of Architects. Since the city hosted the Winter Olympics, do not miss out on the Olympic Cauldron Park, located at Rice-Eccles Stadium, which features the Olympic Cauldron from the games, a visitor's center, and the Hoberman Arch.

Thus the city has many things to offer and if you’re an adventurous traveler who doesn’t want to get tied down on a hectic guide schedule then rent a car from a car rental. It would be the best decision you can make.
